Helping with marine events

The Tall Ships enter the Golden Gate of San Francisco, while the Bay Area’s Auxiliary vessels patrol their floating perimeters to protect the waterways and to ensure that all observers have a safe viewing of the aquatic spectacle.

Welcome to Flotilla 57

Our Flotilla serves central Contra Costa County and the Western Delta regions of the East Bay in Northern California. We are an all-volunteer civilian organization that assists and extends the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) in all of its missions except law enforcement.

Members of our Flotilla help educate the public through our Boating Safety classes, Vessel Safety Checks, and information booths at boat shows and local festivals, as well as many other important duties directly for and under the control of the USCG, such as recreational area and regatta patrols to maintain safety for all boaters, and to assist boaters in trouble.

Our Flotilla meets on the fourth Thursday of every month in Pleasant Hill, California, and members generally hail from central Contra Costa County. The public is invited to attend and new members are always welcomed.

Click on the links in the navigation bar above to view more information for both the Public and Auxiliary Members.
